Dr. Anil Pareek is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at Lachoo Memorial College of Science and Technology (Autonomous), Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He earned his B. Pharm. from L.M. MBAH WOLONG Joell Paisible, PhD Candidate in Natural Products Chemistry. Holder of a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry, I conducted my research internship on the phytochemical study of a medicinal plant Tropaeolum majus. My work involved extracting, profiling by LC-MS, then isolating through chromatography and characterizing by NMR a major secondary metabolite, isoquercetin. This hands-on experience solidified my conviction that natural compounds constitute a reservoir of privileged scaffolds for therapeutic innovation. I am now interested in strategies to integrate these bio-inspired molecules into modern drug discovery pipelines, particularly through their coupling with machine learning approaches and rational drug design to accelerate the development of targeted and sustainable therapeutic agents.
